Landman is a great drama series that offers a fascinating look into the oil industry in West Texas. The show does a brilliant job of showing just how dependent the world is on oil, while also highlighting the constant dangers that come with drilling and production. It follows the daily life of a landman, who acts as a mediator between landowners and oil companies, handling contracts and negotiating deals to keep operations running.
At the center of the story is Tommy Norris, played by Billy Bob Thornton.
