Storyline of Uncut Gems
Uncut Gems” is a masterfully directed film starring Adam Sandler in a serious departure from his usual comedic roles. It’s the story of Howard, a jeweller who runs a shop called KMH in New York City’s Diamond District and is also deeply involved in NBA gambling. Howard is addicted to gambling and owes $100,000 to Arno. Throughout the film, Arno and his two bodyguards relentlessly pressure Howard to repay his debt, but Howard’s gambling addiction and financial troubles prevent him from doing so.
Howard is also having an affair with his employee Julia and is in the process of getting a divorce from his wife. One day, Howard’s friend brings NBA star Kevin Garnett to the KMH store, where Howard showcases various precious items. In between, a rare black opal from the Welo mine in Africa arrives at the shop. Garnett becomes fascinated with the opal and insists on borrowing it for good luck during an important NBA game, offering his 2008 NBA Championship ring as collateral. The opal proves to be lucky for Garnett as he excels in the game.
Garnett offers a substantial sum to buy the gem, but Howard declines, planning instead to sell it at auction for a million dollars. However, the auction values the gem much lower, at a maximum of $225,000. Howard eventually sells it to Garnett for $175,000 and uses the money to gamble again.
When Arno and his bodyguards discover that Howard has sold the gem, they confront him to recover their money. In a tense standoff, Howard locks them up and reveals his recent gambling win. Despite his success, Howard is shot and killed by one of the bodyguards, Phil, who also kills Arno and loots Howard’s shop.

Storyline of Big Daddy
Big Daddy” is an interesting comedy film where Adam Sandler plays the role of Sonny. In this film, Sonny is a 32-year-old bachelor who graduated from law school but decided not to take the bar exam. He works one day a week at a toll plaza just to get out of the house. Sonny received a large amount of money from an accident some time ago. He uses that money to live happily without working.
His laziness and unwillingness to work make his girlfriend, Vanessa, upset, and she leaves him for an older man. This makes Sonny very sad, and he starts thinking of ways to get Vanessa back.
During this time, his friend Kevin leaves for China for his firm-related work. A boy named Julian appears at Sonny’s door, who turns out to be Kevin’s illegitimate son. Julian’s mother is no more from an illness, and there is no one to take care of him. So, Sonny decides to take responsibility for Julian. He lets Julian skip school and eat fast food, following his own bad habits, which leads to social activists filing a case to take custody of Julian away from Sonny.
Meanwhile, Julian helps Sonny find a new girlfriend, Layla. In the end, Kevin returns and decides to take responsibility for Julian. In the end, Sonny passes his bar exam and marries Layla.
